Brothers all,
I have to thank you all for allowing me the opportunity to serve you as Grand Knight. It has been a privilege! As this is my last message as Grand Knight I’m going to take some space to hopefully make all of us think.
At the last 1st degree, I asked the new brother Knights to reflect on the following question, “Why did you become a Knight”? I now ask all who may read this to ask that question. Take a moment and think about your answer. Now I ask, have you or are you accomplishing the answer?
One of the most difficult things in any organization is maintaining a solid volunteer base. Our council frequently struggles with our smaller tasks. Many of these events require a minimum amount of time, and yet we see the same 10 people over and over. Occasionally, not even that number. There are many ways to volunteer to help our organization. I will attempt to bring our committee list up to date with good contact information published on this site.
Next, my brothers, make no mistake, religion is under attack. Now is the time to learn about our faith and stand strong with those ideals. You are part of an organization that does this throughout the world. I have often said being “Catholic” is one of the hardest things I’ve done, and trying to live my faith is next on that list. Now is the time, and this is the place, to be that example.
Finally gentlemen, this council succeeds because of the men in it. Again, Thank you all for supporting me over the last 2 years. Working together we will accomplish great things!

Vivat Jesus
